Preschool Program

The Preschool Program at Happy Days is designed to fulfill the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of your three-to-four-year-old. Our teachers see and treat each child as a unique personality who requires help, support, and guidance to reach their maximum potential at their own pace.

Program Highlights

Individualized Attention

Our program goes beyond California requirements with an impressive 1:8 teacher-to-child ratio. Our dedicated teachers assist in the development of interpersonal relationships by placing children in groups of 3-4. Small groups promote teamwork and help children learn to interact positively with others while maintaining their individuality.

Language Development

Broadening language skills is achieved through storybook reading as well as comprehensive and dramatic play. We nurture the development of the imagination with drama classes, encouraging creative expression and communication.

Creative Arts

A variety of arts and crafts are taught, including ceramics, papier-mâché, painting, drawing, and sculpting. These activities foster creativity and fine motor skills while allowing children to explore different mediums.

Physical Development

To develop coordination skills, children are introduced to physical education, music and movement activities, and games. These activities promote physical fitness, rhythm, and overall motor skills development.

Academic Foundations

Group lessons and theme-based individual learning centers teach science, math, phonics, culture, and a variety of other topics throughout the year. Hands-on learning is highly encouraged, with children actively participating in learning centers focused on math, language, sensorial, and practical life skills.

Positive Behavior Reinforcement

Emphasizing good manners and consideration towards others is a key part of our curriculum. We use positive reinforcement methods, such as a ticket reward chart, to reward good behavior as an alternative to traditional time-outs.

Parent Participation

We provide many opportunities for parent involvement in the program. Classroom parties, field trips, cultural celebrations, parades, and workshops are just some of the activities that bring school and family together, fostering a strong community connection.
At Happy Days, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and enriching environment where your infant can thrive. Let us help create a happy and secure foundation for your child’s development.
